Autism State Plan
In its 2006 election policy, Addressing Disadvantage, the Victorian Government undertook to:
… develop an Autism State Plan in partnership with Autism Victoria, to build new and better approaches across government for meeting the growing and complex needs of people with autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
The Department of Human Services, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, and Autism Victoria worked together in partnership to develop the Plan which was launched in May 2009 during Autism Awareness Month.

The Positive Partnerships: supporting school aged students on the autism spectrum project delivers two components of the Helping Children with Autism package being implemented by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). The aim of both components is to improve the educational outcomes for school aged children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

Autism Help Info aims to increase the awareness of ASD, and provide practical strategies and resources to benefit preschool, primary and secondary school teachers, child care worders, integration aides, health professionals and more.

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect)
Aspect is the country’s largest not-for-profit autism specific service provider. Aspect builds confidence and capacity in people with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families and communities by providing information, education and other services.

Autism Victoria
Autism Victoria is a member-based not for profit organization. They provide a range of services to individuals and agencies with an interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders, including Asperger Syndrome and PDD-NOS.
