AFSA membership is free making it easy for you to be a part of AFSA - the state wide association for Victorian families caring for a family member with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
AFSA has been a significant and effective parent/carer voice to Government for the past ten years and is free to do so because it does not receive any re-current income from the Victorian State Government.
INVITATION TO JOIN THE AFSA COMMITTEE
The committee meet once a month in the meeting room of Outside the Square Psychology clinic in Toorak Road, Burwood. There is so much we would like to do but we need more committee members to share the tasks around. If you would like to become more involved why not come to a committee meeting. AFSA committee members are unpaid volunteers. There are certain costs associated with running an association – phone, internet provider, website hosting, mail, travel, insurance and other similar costs. Despite this we remain committed to keeping our membership free. Therefore, AFSA continue to persue various sources of funding. We also welcome donations which help pay for these necessary costs, keeping your association viable.
Every member plays a vital role in the governance of our association. Members are entitled to nominate for committee positions and vote at the AGM. Members also monitor the performance of their committee – if you don’t think they are doing a good enough job, you can vote them out!
